Global scale ecosystem degradation with biodiversity loss, and increasing carbon in the atmosphere, is one of the world’s greatest challenges. At Dendra Systems, we are a fast-growing start-up, developing the most powerful tools to enable ecosystem restoration today. The engineering team is responsible for developing seed delivery payloads and integrating them to large unmanned platforms. The role of the Test Engineer will be to ensure that all systems we develop are functional and reliable. In order to provide high quality solutions to our own operations team, the Test Engineer will be asked to design and build appropriate testing rigs, run tests on various components and features in order to identify and fix technical issues, and help setup QC procedures to validate against before release. Key responsibilities will include Help set initial product requirements (e.g. functionalities, speed, safety standards) Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems Design and build automated testing systems for regular checks Run tests for electrical, mechanical and biological components Analyze test results, detect issues and suggest fixes and improvements Run quality controls on final components and products Ensure our products and procedures meet industry standards (e.g. ISO) Requirements Experience with the construction and maintenance of automated mechatronic systems Strong Computer Aided Design experience, preferably with Fusion360 Good electronics knowledge Familiarity with various testing techniques Great troubleshooting skills Extra Awesome Experience with embedded C/C++ programming Drone flying experience Strong 3D printing experience Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
