The Chefs Patisserie Co. is a bespoke, handcrafted cake manufacturer based at a purpose built premises in Warrington. We supply a range of luxury patisserie products to the hospitality, events, leisure, corporate and retail industry.

Our growing portfolio of clients include blue chip companies, 4/5* hotels, fine dining restaurants, food supply wholesalers and distributors across the UK.

We are not a factory based operation but a creative and skilled led kitchen production facility producing high quality afternoon tea cakes and desserts to a high standard.

Job Summary

We are currently looking to recruit a Manager/Assistant Managerto join our expanding team with minimum 3 years+ experience in a Management role within a hospitality/food led environment.

The successful candidate will be assisting and reporting into the Operations manager. This is a ’hands on’ team manager/leader role working individually and as part of a team, to meet the high expectations of our business and clients.

Candidate must have previous experience leading a team either a food/chef/hospitality background with great attention to detail and have a passion for food.

The challenging and exciting role will consist of duties assisting the Operations Manager, although not limited of;

  • Leading, motivating and managing the patisserie packing team to fulfil business demands
  • Working closely on a daily basis with Head of Ops & Head Pâtissier with daily / weekly production planning and execution.
  • Quality control of raw and finished packaging and patisserie products
  • Correct labelling, monitoring and controlling allergens of products as per legislation
  • Handling, packing and boxing the finished products
  • Managing stock control and rotation
  • Work to business targets and budgets
  • Completion of administrative paperwork and records
  • Maintain good hygiene and cleanliness as per company standards
  • Problem solve in a positive manner
  • Recruitment. training and development of team members
  • Duty management cover as and when required
  • Assist with transport and logistics - planning and scheduling
  • Able to drive small/medium vans.

Candidates must adhere to company Covid-19 policies, food safety, health and safety, and fire safety standards.

The tasks undertaken do require standing for long periods and working in both ambient and cold temperatures, manual lifting is required although this is not heavy goods.

The ideal candidate MUST have experience of working in a food environment in food manufacturing, hospitality, or fresh food kitchens operations.

This role is not a factory or warehouse style operation - you will be working within a commercial artisan kitchen environment with chefs.

Driving license essential.

Working hours vary subject to business demands, and may involve working weekends/bank holidays.

Full time @40-45 hrs per week. 5 days straight shifts

Monday to Friday (may include evenings, weekend and bank holidays subject to the business needs)

Business Operational hours are from 7am-10pm (Mon-Fri), 8am-5pm (Sat irregular) -please note actual shifts vary to operational hours.

Salary: £24500 - £28500+ (subject to experience).
