Patient Services and FOI Officer

Band 4 Full time37.5 hours per week

NHS Bolton CCG is responsible for the commissioning healthcare of around 320,000 registered patients in Bolton. We are working with key partners across the Bolton borough to ensure the local health and care system is financially and clinically sustainable and that health and wellbeing outcomes for the whole population are improved.

Due to promotion of current post-holder Bolton CCG, is looking to recruit a friendly, self-motivated individual to join our Governance & Safety team which provides the Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS), supports quality improvement work & patient safety and the organisation’s information governance functions, including Freedom of Information Requests (FOIs).

  • Do you enjoy solving problems and display great attention to detail?
  • Are you an effective team player able to prioritise and work well under pressure to meet deadlines?

This is a varied role that will involve working within a wider team, CCG colleagues, members of the public and other NHS bodies. You will play a vital role in helping the CCG comply with its statutory functions. You should be a team player and willing to work flexibly to help meet demand at peak times. Applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to work well under pressure both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills (particularly Microsoft excel and experience using a database) are essential for this post.
