Applications are invited for the post of Pathology Transformation manager in Pathology at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro. This person will be delivering a number of sizable projects in the first instance these will be a Pathology New build and delivery of a new Laboratory information management system (LIMS).This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week. A flexible attitude to working hours is essential. Hours are currently within a framework of 08:00 - 20:00.To apply for this post, you must be an experienced manager working in a UK Hospital, ideally with previous management or supervisory experience.Responsible for the management and delivery, of the Pathology new build which will see a number of services relocate to a purpose build building and part of larger Trust wide building project for Women’s and Childrens services. The post holder can be either a scientist or project/operational manager with considerable experience who has shown innovation, drive, and leadership in their existing position.The departments are currently located and 3 main locations across the site. Whilst delivering this project the individual will also be involved in the LIMS delivery with the objective to review process delivery and opportunities a new build could potential bring.This is the perfect opportunity to lead a refreshed and evolving department at the beginning of a new chapter, and to be involved in shaping its long-term future, helping to create a quality focussed, modern, efficient, and effective patient-centred service.Sustainability is integral to the Trust achieving the NHS Net Zero target.
