Bakers Dolphin Coach Travel provides transport for young people with additional needs within North Somerset.

The vacancy for a Regular Passenger Assistant living in the Weston-super-Mare Area contracted at approximately 25 hours per week - Term Time Only.

What you will be doing

The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support young people providing additional assistance in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home/school.

Times of work: Morning start between 06.30 and 07.00 until 08.45 Afternoon Start 14.30, finish between 16.00 and 17.00. Guaranteed min paid hours of 20 hrs per week.

About you

Candidates need to be available morning and afternoon to coincide with school opening and closing times with all holiday leave to be taken in the school holidays.

Additional information

Bakers Dolphin Coach Travel is looking for caring, flexible and responsible passenger assistants with an understanding of young people with additional needs.

· Knowledge of moderate and complex learning needs

· An understanding of safeguarding children

· Recognition of a hazard and how to report.

You must be physically fit with the ability to provide the care required for the position of passenger assistant.

An Enhanced DBS Check (Adult/Children Workforce) is required for this position and some additional training will be required; this will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process.
