Job Description

We are looking for a Chef De Partie to join our client’s beautiful country pub located in the idyllic village of Haworth West Yorkshire. The site traces its origins back to the late Georgian century with fantastic features such as Georgian tavern atmosphere with its roaring log fire and Georgian wooden paneling, whilst upstairs is more elegant with its high ceilings and Georgian windows looking out onto the iconic cobbled main street. The Food focus is using the freshest seasonal British produce and all menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

All the meat is sourced direct from small farms across the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, and the fish is freshly delivered from the fishmonger in Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring chef wishing to further their career as part of a friendly and focused team. There are no accommodation available so local candidates who drive would be more advised as the location is slightly rural.

The role is working 5 days over 7 averaging 45-50 hours a week for a salary of £21,000 per annum plus tips. Candidate Role:
  • assist in the day to day running of the kitchen
  • work with the senior team to develop and deliver high standards
  • contribute to daily prep and service
  • Manage any wastage and maximize the product usage
  • Liaise with senior brigade members to uphold EHO legislation
  • Train and manage any junior members of staff
  • Utilize the best of seasonal produce to help create
  • Menus for any upcoming events and restaurant offerings Candidate Specification:
  • must be passionate about creating seasonally inspired dishes
  • have a consistent working history and not too jumpy
  • fresh food background is essential
  • work well independently and as part of a team
  • have a keen eye for fine detail
  • Approachable and friendly personality
