Partner/Director – Hydrogen, UK, Ireland and Northern Europe.

ERM is seeking a motivated commercial leader to join us as a Partner, with a primary focus on growing the business related to Hydrogen in the UK and Northern Europe. The role will preferably be based in the UK, Ireland, Norway or Denmark.

Skills And Experience Will Include

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced leader, with a wide range of business expertise in energy transition, including recent experience of hydrogen (supply, transport and/or demand projects).
  • Demonstrable passion for energy transition and role that hydrogen will play in this;
  • Detailed knowledge of major capital projects, including first of a kind projects;,
  • Track record of strategic planning, risk management and delivery of growth initiatives;
  • Proven Business Development acumen with leading organizations in the private and public sectors;,
  • Knowledge of green hydrogen projects, which might also include related experience in renewables (e.g. offshore wind)
  • Knowledge of blue hydrogen projects, which might also include carbon capture utilization and storage and industrial decarbonisation, more broadly;
  • Knowledge of hydrogen projects in transportation and industry (supply and demand);
  • Extensive network of relationships in industry and amongst key stakeholders in the energy transition space;
  • Deep understanding of existing and emerging in-country regulations, standards and strategies applicable to hydrogen;
  • Additional language skills valuable.
Ideally the candidate will have some years of consulting and/or industry background during her/his career life. She/he will have a high business development acumen, strong governance and integrity. She/he will be able to have strategic discussions with business leaders and a proven track record of helping clients realize their ambitious low carbon goals through the implementation of low carbon economy transition infrastructure. Role Responsibilities

As a Partner, you will be accountable for the commercial growth of the Low Carbon Economy Infrastructure opportunities and projects in the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe, working with existing clients and wining new business. You will lead the technical delivery to ensure service excellence under our Partner in Charge (PiC) system of project management and direction to ensure successful financial outcomes, profitable growth for ERM, and risk management.

This exciting and challenging position will also expect the Partner to:
  • Provide leadership in communicating and enabling ERM’s health and safety culture
  • Work closely with the EMEA Business & Opportunity Development Director, the EMEA Capital Project Service Leader, and the EMEA Low Carbon Economy Transition Leader, to develop and execute robust, proactive Go-to-Market programs for the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe to drive commercial growth for Hydrogen opportunities and projects.
  • Work closely with peer Partners, client account directors / account managers as well as EMEA regional client market leaders to develop and implement client and market segment specific consulting programs for the region.
  • Co-develop service evolution/innovation that is responsive to client needs and market changes by developing and promoting effective sales support materials and equipping Partners and teams in the region to take them to market.
  • Support the growth of the broader team and provide inspirational leadership that engages and motivates all levels of staff
  • Proactively engage necessary stakeholders/resources in order to ensure delivery of exceptional client value, including that the right expertise and competency is applied based on the scope of service being delivered
  • Contribute to the achievement of ERM’s strategy, along with the company’s commercial targets and ambitions for profitable growth
