Our client is looking for an experienced Participation and Training Officer.

The Communities for Work+ (CfW+) programme is funded by the Welsh Government. The programme supports individuals living in the Vale of Glamorgan aged 16+ to obtain employment or training.

The CFW+ Participation and Training Officer will work within the CFW+ Local Delivery Team based within the Vale of Glamorgan. The post-holder will have responsibility for increase engagement with the community, building relationships with local partners and coordinating training for participants enrolled on CFW+.

To provide strong linkages within the team and with key partners and stakeholders and ensure the programme is integrated into local delivery.

The post holder will work alongside the Local Delivery Team, which includes Employment Mentors, dedicated Adult and Youth Mentors as well as an Employer Liaison Officer.

We receive over 70% of our referrals from Barry Jobcentre Plus and have excellent working relationships with the staff.

We also have good working relationships with a number of partner Agencies, for example;
  • Colleagues from other Depts within the Vale of Glamorgan Council
  • DWP staff
  • Careers Wales/Working Wales
  • other employability-support staff/Agencies who work locally in the Vale
  • local Housing Associations
  • CfW+ teams in other Local Authority areas
  • Welsh Government colleagues.
