About the Role

Cheshire House in Greater Manchester consists of eight self-contained flats and provides residential accommodation and nursing support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, including behaviours which others might find challenging.

With a focus on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Active Support and a dedicated learning disability nurse within the support team, there is a strong person centred approach to meet individual’s complex needs and goals. Designed to meet the needs of individuals who fall under the Transforming Care agenda, Cheshire House offers specialist support and positive behaviour intervention for up to eight men and women in their own flats.

You’ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shopping and domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend and night shifts.
