Award-winning environmental education charity, Wild Things, is seeking an experienced, part-time seasonal outdoor practitioner to join the fieldwork team in the delivery of our charitable and social enterprise programmes.


The right candidate for this role must have experience delivering environmental education and bushcraft skills to a broad client group as well as being able to process information quickly and lead groups from the start.



We would like to bring into the team someone who is playful yet professional, who loves spending time outdoors, sharing their passion for the natural world with both young and old. Our ideal candidate will engage people on a variety of activities that promote an understanding and care for the environment as well as the health and wellbeing of our clients and participants.

To enable the smooth flow of our programmes, the ideal candidate will also have excellent organisational skills and have experience of logistics, preparing resources, session plans and caring for equipment and tools.

  • The successful candidate will ideally hold relevant experience and/or qualifications in:
  • Bushcraft experience as well as strong naturalist skills and environmental knowledge.
  • Leadership of outdoor learning activities focused on environmental education
  • (Woodland Activity Leader Training, Forest School L3 or other equivalent training
  • and/or experience)
  • Outdoor First Aid qualification
  • Hold a clean driving license (and ideally a D1 minibus license or have MiDAS training.
