Part time Patient Services (Medical receptionist) - (temporary role - 12 months)

We are currently looking for a part time medical receptionist to work in our busy patient services teams.

Usual working hours: 25 hours per week: Monday 8 - 1pm, Tuesday 8.30 - 1.30, Wednesday 7-12, Thursday 12-5, Friday 1.30 - 6.30. We require flexibility to cover absences, occasional lates until 8.00pm and Saturday mornings.

The Hollies is a friendly, high achieving practice based on the edge of Tamworth town centre and provides care to 15,600 patients.

We are looking for an excellent communicator with good IT and administrative skills to join our very busy reception team at the Hollies Medical Practice in Tamworth.

You will carry out the duties in the job description, which includes:

  • Greeting patients in a friendly manner and responding to their requests
  • Arranging suitable appointments for patients
  • Answering and dealing with telephone enquiries.
  • Scanning clinical letters on to patient’s records.
  • Liaising with Doctors, Nurses and other members of the team to provide a quality service for patients.

We require you:

  • To be computer literate.
  • To have the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with staff and patients.
  • To work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • To ensure high levels of accuracy are maintained in all aspects of work.
  • To be confident to work independently and as part of a team.
