Part-Time HR Advisor

Are you an experienced HR Advisor who’s looking to join a prestigious organisation based in Oxford on a part-time, permanent basis?

We have registered a new and exciting role, in which you will be responsible for the recruitment and day-to-day HR support for our client. The role will support – and be supported by – the HR Director and will also work closely with other associated departments to ensure a streamlined and joined up approach.

This role is for 28 hours per week, preferably worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday.

Part-Time HR Advisor Responsibilities

  • Preparing and publishing good quality, engaging job adverts
  • Liaising with the hiring manager to agree the interview panel and develop the interview schedule
  • Coordinating the shortlisting process, including collating applications
  • Centrally recording equality and diversity information
  • Setting up interviews, including liaising with the hiring manager and confirming any instructions to be passed onto candidates in preparation and liaising with applicants, including invitation to interview and rejecting candidates not shortlisted
  • Booking rooms for interviews or arranging online interviews, and arranging refreshments
  • Participating in panel interviews, as required
  • Conducting all pre-employment checks, including right to work checks for all potential employees and temporary workers, and maintaining records
  • Sending timesheets to casual workers, where required, with the applicable rate applied, and receiving completed timesheets back, logging the work for payment on the monthly Payroll spreadsheet
  • Confidently handling enquiries

Part-Time HR Advisor Requirement

  • Demonstrable experience of recruitment processes, including advertising roles, managing applications, communication with candidates, and both coordinating and participating in interviews.
  • Demonstrable experience in HR administration, including issuing contracts and letters and all general administration relating to the employee lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable ability to work with other colleagues and departments to deliver a positive employee experience.
  • Evidence of experience in employee relations, including dealing confidently with routine HR issues and casework, providing advice to managers and employees, and providing confidential administrative support
  • Aptitude for contributing to and delivering projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven experience in maintaining employee records and producing employee data, including reports and analysing trends.
  • Previous experience of working with integrity in a confidential environment

Location

Based in Oxford, OX1. There is no available parking onsite, however there are excellent public transport links.
