About Our Client

Job Description

  • The day-to-day running of the accounts dept
  • Ownership of the SAGE Line 50 accounting records.
  • Preparation of monthly VAT Returns, monthly CIS returns and payroll reporting.
  • Monthly reconciliations of balance sheets.
  • Financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Responsibility for credit control and payroll functions.
  • Liaise with banks to ensure all reporting complete in a timely manner to comply with covenants.
  • Preparation of year end and half year end accounts in a timely manner for presentation to the Directors with meaningful analysis.
  • Full responsibility for preparation of the year end audit pack and for supporting year end audits and other financial procedures as required.
  • Provide financial management information to the business and its directors as and when required.
The Successful Applicant

Essential
  • High levels of integrity and ability to operate with confidential information.
  • A proven track record of working at a similar level in a similar sized organisation.
  • Good understanding of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), PAYE and VAT.
  • Excellent communicator (written and oral).
  • Proven ability of working under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.

Desirable
  • Appropriately qualified, ACCA or CIMA however those qualified by experienced will be considered if a proved track record in similar roles can be demonstrated.
  • Previous experience of using SAGE Line 50 and SAGE Payroll would be an advantage.
