Introduction

Are you an experienced and highly motivated Deputy Headteacher looking for a part-time opportunity, where you can influence and inspire others in a new independent school ? If so, join the team at The Bere Clinic in Waterlooville, a new 12-bed CAMHS service opening in September 2021,and provide educational services to resident young people aged 12-17 with eating disorders.

The onsite school provides educational services while the young people are in the clinic’s care with the full multidisciplinary team. It’s a great opportunity to be part of something special, new and help shape its future and set the standard of education within CAMHS.

As a Part-Time Deputy Headteacher, you will be the Headteacher’s right-hand person as you support them in leading and supporting teachers and pupils at The Bere Clinic School. This will see you implement clear schemes, plan lessons, create teaching objectives and oversee assessments to review students individual needs.

You will assist in designing and delivering School Development Plans under the external standards and frameworks, while you work towards an Ofsted defined “Outstanding” judgement.

As you support The Bere Clinic’s vision, you will have responsibility for designing and managing policies and strategies, which will see you lead on personal development, behaviour and attitudes across the school to create a warming and comfortable environment that enables young people to build their knowledge and skills so that they are able to progress.

This is an extremely rewarding and versatile role, perfect for a fully qualified, dynamic and resilient experienced senior teacher or Headteacher, who has a background in planning to meet the needs of individuals, across all ability ranges including those with SEND.
