Parking Lift Installation/Service Engineer

Job role:

The role is mobile, principally within the UK it involves a fluctuating workload, carrying out servicing, (new) installations and the repair of a range of vehicle parking lifts

Whilst experience is preferred, ideally from within the garage equipment or lift industry, Lift Giant welcomes applications from people with good practical experience in any type of electro mechanical work.

You will sometimes be expected to carry out installations and servicing on your own so ability to lone work and take responsibility for your own installation is a must.

Typical backgrounds might include people who have worked as garage technicians, MOT testers, white goods installers / engineers, FMCG service technicians, or anyone who has completed a relevant academic qualification in an electrical/mechanical field, and looking to start their career.

As this role is UK wide it will involve travel and regular overnight stays, potentially sometimes even overseas.

Main Duties:

• To carry out all service, repair and installation work to specification and to the highest standard
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, company procedures, and ensure that work practices comply with relevant codes of conduct
• Participation in training as required including technical product training
• Escalate technical queries to line manager as necessary
• Leadership of teams on larger installations

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant technical background, ideally with competence across a range of garage equipment but particularly vehicle lifts, ideally with recognised qualifications
• Or, basic transferable skills in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Basic IT skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to deal with customers and colleagues in a professional manner
• Build and maintain customer relations
• Represent the company in a positive manner at all times
• A "can-do" logical approach
• Valid driving licence with maximum of 6 points
• Valid passport for overseas travel

• Working Monday - Friday on a basis involving flexible start and finish times for a 40 hour week. Overtime sometimes available.
