About Linwood Coachworks Body Shop

We are a family-run, BSI-approved auto body repair and refinishing garage based in Linwood, Paisley with over 40 years of experience. Our team of qualified repair and paint specialists are experts in all automotive repairs.

It is an exciting time for us as we are expanding and looking for a qualified Panel Beater to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications. This includes removing and replacing panels, straightening chassis and frames, and preparing the vehicle for painting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove and replace panels, fix dents, and straighten chassis frames on vehicles
  • Read and interpret repair manuals, drawings, blueprints and sketches
  • Follow safety rules when operating tools and equipment
  • Use welding equipment to weld new parts or repair existing parts
  • Prepare the surface of the vehicle for painting
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment and materials
  • Keep accurate records of repairs made
  • Maintain a clean working environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater or similar role
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
  • Working knowledge of welding techniques (MIG/TIG)
  • Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and blueprints
  • Good communication skills with customers and colleagues

40 hours per week

Business Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 7 am - 5 pm
