Are you an experienced Children’s Nurse with a passion for Education? A new and exciting opportunity has opened up for a Band 7 Paediatric Practice Development Nurse in Paediatrics, Acute, Day Care and Paediatric Emergency Department at the London Northwest University Healthcare Trust.

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Practice Development Nurse within the Paediatric Emergency Department and Management and Governance teams to support the development of Paediatric Nursing Practice in Children’s Services, which includes Acute and Day Care at Northwick Park Hospital.

You will play a pivotal role in the development of nursing within the teams, embedding our Children’s Nursing Strategy for the Paediatric Service. The successful candidate will support the development of preceptorship and succession planning for staff on their career pathways, linking with other healthcare professionals throughout the services to ensure we provide excellent high quality evidence based care to all children and their families.

You will provide and participate in MDT education and training using a range of techniques and modalities, including simulation and skills drills.to meet the learning needs of the team and individual staff.

You will represent LNWUH at local and external educational events including the North Thames Paediatric Critical Care Network and Partners in Paediatrics.
