Role: Sales / Retentions Advisor

Location: Cardiff / Pontypridd (Brand new site!)

Basic Salary: £19,157 with OTE of +£28,000

You will be joining Firstsource, who provide innovative, customer centric, outsourcing solutions to the world’s leading organisations. In this role you will be working with The Economist an iconic global brand who is a leading source of analysis on international business & world affairs. Delivered through a range of formats, from newspapers to digital services, this brand is valued by its customers for its world-class insights & rigorous analysis.

The Economist is one of the most widely recognised & well-read current affairs publications in the world, its readers & fans include the likes off: Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie, Pharrell Williams, Angela Merkel, Narendra Modi, & other prominent figures from around the globe.

Your role sits in our Outbound Sales & Retention team, where you will manage subscription cancellation requests through outbound calling. The purpose of the role is to provide excellent customer service whilst promoting the features & benefits of the Economist so customers actively choose to retain their Economist subscription.

As a Sales Advisor you will be well rewarded through the basic salary & its generous incentive scheme.

A typical day will look like:

• Time set aside each morning as a team to plan for success each day

• Proactively call Economist customers, understanding & supporting their individual needs, giving them great reasons to stay as customers

• Support your peers & team by sharing your experience and successes

• Time allocated to work with your manager and sales trainer on opportunities to improve service and sales, and develop your future career

The skills & experience you will need are:

• Proven successful experience in customer sales or retention

• Great communicator with the telephone

• Have a passion for sales, & strive to deliver success every day

• Experience of working to & achieving targets

• The ability to self-motivate & support and inspire your fellow sales professionals

• Prepared to go the extra mile to hit target

• Thrives on working in a challenging & fast paced environment
