About The Role

Do you want to influence and have impact on the future workforce development needs of the NHS?

We have an exciting opportunity for a OSCE Trainer to help in the development of our established OSCE Education and Development team. The successful individual will facilitate the delivery of a range of programmes supporting the preparation of International Nurses undergoing the overseas nurse and midwife test of competency (OSCE) to gain nursing registration in the UK.

This new initiative builds on the innovative work being undertaken at NHSP to support the NHS workforce development through international nurse and midwifery recruitment, across the UK.

Location: Milton Keynes

Skills/Responsibilities:
The OSCE Trainer will join the Education Team at NHSP the team who are developing a portfolio of programmes to support international nurses and midwives from their home country through the NMC registration process and making the transition into practice with the NHS.

  • Co-facilitate the OSCE Preparation Training
  • Support new programme development
  • Evaluate programme delivery and inform new developments

About The Candidate
To be successful in this post you will need to
    • Facilitate, as part of a team, the delivery of programmes to prepare nurses and midwives to pass the NMC OSCE examination.
    • Provide academic, pastoral and practical support to international nurses and midwives in preparing for their examination to gain NMC registration.
    • Evaluate training programme by conducting regular reviews and feedback from participants and client trusts
    • To deputise in the absence of the Education OSCE Lead
    • Contribute to the design and improvement of new programmes for international nurses and midwives
    • Develop lesson plans and educational material based on best evidence
    • Maintain current knowledge of clinical and educational trends in OSCE preparation training.
