We are looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse to join our team.

About The Role

In this role you will be expected to work autonomously within your sphere of competency and will act as the clinical expert and professional resource to the multidisciplinary team, patients and carers. You will be responsible for carrying out clinical ophthalmic practice, requiring you to have highly developed specialist nursing and technical skills in this area, as well as carrying out procedures and treatments within the clinic setting as instructed by the doctor, and assisting with minor ophthalmic surgery.
As an experienced NMC registered general nurse with qualifications in ophthalmic nursing, you will also have specialist knowledge in AMD and will have trained in and undertaken intravitreal injection. You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop services and improve the quality of care delivered as well as acting as a role model, providing highly specialised clinical knowledge.
