Quality Tester – ConnectivityThe main purpose of the role is to examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications.ScopeThe role will cover Connectivity, including both the assembly and injection moulding areas.ReportingThis role will report to the Telecoms Quality Engineer.Responsibilities
  • Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity in alignment to product specification
  • Inspect, test or measure a certain percentage of all in-process parts to ensure they meet customer’s requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process
  • Observe the methods and equipment use during production and give operators advice to correct errors and increase efficiency
  • Report problems or concerns to Quality or Engineering
  • Communicate with the rest of the Quality, R&D and Process Engineering and Production departments so they become aware of any defects in the product and if possible, how to repair them
  • Ensure all products and materials that fail to meet specification are removed and quarantined
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
  • Create basic reports on inspection and test data using Microsoft Excel
  • Comply with standards of safety, company policies
