About the role

As a Cooperage operator within our dedicated team at Cambus, Scotland, you’ll play a pivotal role in the whisky supply process and will coordinate cask quality whilst controlling the safe movement of casks within an established set of process procedures.

You’ll support a range of activities at the site including cask rejuvenation, minor repair processes and empty cask handling.

Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other targets including production quality and HMRC compliance.

Your rota will be on our 3 core shift pattern covering dayshift, backshift and nightshift.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is a superb teamplayer, but also able to take initiative when needed and make effective decisions, while showing your excellent interpersonal skills.

You’ll have the focus to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence, and thrive in situations where you can solve problems and push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities.

You will be working alongside both internal and external partners to achieve shared and individual goals.

It’d be fantastic if you had experience of working in a team-orientated production environment however this is not crucial.

You’ll have proven knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
