Investigations is the core crime fighting capability of the NCA. We take an intelligence - led approach and concentrate on tackling the criminals and risks to the public which are beyond the capability or capacity of the other law enforcement bodies.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the largest investigation into non-recent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) undertaken by law enforcement. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills, or enhance current skills, as you become an integral member of the team.

The NCA is leading on this major independent investigation into non-familial child sexual abuse and exploitation in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. We focus on the needs of the victims and survivors as we drive forward our enquiries.

The complexity of the investigation is unparalleled. Victims and survivors have been exploited or abused by many individuals in locations across the UK over a number of years. The majority of suspects have offended against more than one victim and many have been involved in organised trafficking.

The operation is set up in line with the Major Incident Room Standard Administrative Procedures (MIRSAP) and uses the HOLMES data system as well as NCA Intelligence databases.
