If you’re looking for a new challenge, you’re a change-agent, you have an entrepreneurial flare and are motivated by taking ownership and accountability then read on The Opportunity The (Senior) Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of over 10 team members employed within the warehouse, to ensure the daily operations of the warehouse run seamlessly. To oversee the functional tasks, logistics and the organisation all operations. To ensure that the showroom has all products required and ensure an efficient client product inspection experience. This is a fast-paced role, managing all aspects of Warehouse Operations from goods received through to health & safety in the warehouse. You will be liaising with team members including interaction with managers of all different areas of the business, from sales to buying & merchandising, so strong communication skills are key to this role. The role will also oversee the Client Services team, who support our clients with pre-purchase queries and after-sales support. As Operations Manager, you will coach the team and ensure all Company processes and procedures are followed. The Detail Key Skills Required Comprehensive experience in working in a warehouse and understanding basic logistics practices Strong communication skills Dynamic and adaptable approach to work Strong working knowledge of relevant health & safety e.g. manual handling Ability to logically and systematically approach tasks and/or projects, to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines; able to work within a team environment and independently Possess initiative with the ability to think responsibly, make suitable decisions and with a positive can-do attitude SAP experience (beneficial) Accountabilities Manage and coach a team of Warehouse Operatives, Logistics & Client Service Advisors Own the training matrix of the warehouse Strong organisational ability to prioritise the various demands of the business Ensure company assets in the warehouse are always controlled and accounted for Ensure that all audits and legal standards are met and exceeded for required compliance Motivate the team to work both proactively and reactively Control, improve and optimise the layout of the warehouse to cope with changing demands of the business. Audit the warehouse for product quality, cleanliness, organisation, safety in line with expectations Ensure that SLAs are met e.g. QC of inbound product complete within 48 hours of arrival, International containers turned round within 2 hours. Drive and maintain high standards across the business Complete health and safety checks in the warehouse, ensuring that procedures are followed
