The company

Outright Games is a leading publisher of licensed children’s games. We work with global family favourite franchises to bring their stories and characters to life, across multiple platforms and titles including Paw Patrol, Jumanji, Transformers and How to Train your Dragon.

This is an exciting time to join Outright Games. With games at various stages of development, we are expanding our Operations team to support the delivery of multiple projects. New joiners will get to hit the ground running during a busy period for our well-established business.

The role

We are looking to hire a committed and long-term Operations Assistant to work across a range of tasks related to the packaging and ordering of our console releases. This role reports into the Operations Manager and will be based at our Head Office in Lee-on-the-Solent once it reopens. Until then, the successful candidate will need to be willing to work effectively from their home.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end lifecycle of product packaging, from design to manufacture. This will include keeping multiple projects and related activities consistently on track.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining spreadsheets for barcode and packaging management
  • Creating barcodes with the SKU management tool
  • Helping to organise and maintain digital codes and ratings certificates for new and existing titles
  • Securing, confirming and checking full approvals prior to releases
  • Managing tight deadlines and the expectations of key internal and external stakeholders
  • Spotting, flagging and addressing issues in a timely fashion as they arise throughout projects
  • Acting as a professional and reliable point of contact between multiple internal departments and external clients
  • Supporting the wider Operations team on assignments as needed, including ordering

Skills and requirements

Our operations team is critical to the company and getting our games physically into our audience’s homes. Whilst the function can be demanding at times, Outright Games is a family company and we are here to support each other, with teammates often working closely together.

Essential skills for the role are:

  • Strong MS Office skills, including at least intermediate Excel skills (although advanced Excel knowledge would be a big advantage)
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of pride in producing highly accurate work
  • A proven background in managing high volumes of data, including multiple version approvals
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Willingness to constructively engage with issues that arise and actively problem-solve
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working on end-to-end projects and in marketing, sales and/or ordering functions would be an advantage

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, with pension contributions
  • Private healthcare scheme
  • 25 days of paid holidays
