We are looking for an operational Trainer to be responsible for design, delivery and updating of end to end Galileo and Travel Studio processes for new starters, as well as refreshers for existing staff.

PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining knowledge and skills amongst all operational staff across both Abercrombie & Kent and Cox & Kings. They will design and deliver key operations training as part of the standardised monthly intake of new starters, as well as existing operational staff; ensuring a blended learning approach is maximised with a focus on continuous improvement of content. The Operational Trainer will have ownership of training priorities and liaise with the Director of Sales and Business Development when conflicting priorities arise, to ensure the business’ needs are met. They will also work with key operational staff to support existing training interventions and monitor their effectiveness. This role will have the support of the HR and L&D Manager and will work closely with the HR team to plan and deliver new starter training.

· Responsible for continuous improvement of all operational training material

· Support the internal specialists with the design and delivery of Client Relations, Product and Complete Experience training for new and existing staff

· Design online training to support increased self-learning across all Operational training

· Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all training is fit for purpose and delivered in a timely manner

· Ensure all existing staff’s operational knowledge is kept up to date through the use of classroom training, online learning and tests

· Coordinate all operational training events to ensure that new starters and existing staff are trained in a timely and effective manner

· Regular evaluation of training courses required to assess the effectiveness of all material and delivery

· Support with wider company operational training as required

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential

· Basic knowledge of Travel Studio; full training will be provided

· Confidence to present and speak in front of a group

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes, e.g. PowerPoint, Excel and Word

· Willingness to learn new software and training skills

· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise training events

· Flexibility to changing workplace priorities and individual needs

· Experience in working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Desirable

· Basic knowledge of Galileo

· Experience of designing and delivering training

· An understanding of the training cycle and different learning methodologies

Person Specification

· A self-motivated and resilient individual, keen to make a positive different to others’ skills and knowledge

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others

· Ability to develop good working relationships across a range of levels within the business

· Willingness to travel between the A&K offices when required for training purposes

Training Provided

· The successful person will receive full training on Galileo and Travel Studio, as well as the screen recording software and online training tools. Training Skills will be taught and developed as required based on the individual’s experience.

· This person will have the full support of the Director of Sales and Business Development, as well as key stakeholders within the business to set them up for success in the role.
