Marsden Building Society have an exciting opportunity available for an Operational and Conduct Risk Manager to join our team based in Nelson, Lancashire with the flexibility of a hybrid working model. Youll be constructively challenging and influencing senior stakeholders to provide assurance to the Board that the relevant risks are identified, assessed, managed, and monitored satisfactorily and in line with the Societys Risk Management Framework. This role can be full or part-time with a minimum of 21 hours over 3 days. We support hybrid home working with our office minimum currently set at 30% of the working week is to be connecting in our Principal Office, Nelson. Key responsibilities as our Operational and Conduct Risk Manager will include: Influencing and supporting the first line in ensuring that all operational and conduct risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and managed in line with the Societys Risk Management Framework Developing, implementing, and maintaining a proportionate second-line risk assurance framework to ensure that compliance with key controls for significant Operational and Conduct risk types is assured Developing and maintaining the Societys Operational Risk Policies, ensuring that they are aligned to regulatory expectations and that all staff are compliant with their requirements Maintaining the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system Maintaining the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process and assessing the effectiveness of first-line risk controls What are we looking for in our Operational and Conduct Risk Manager? You will have significant experience of developing and managing operational and conduct risk reporting including KRIs and dashboards, and experience of working in an operational risk management role within a building society or other banking institution and of all operational and conduct risk types including financial crime, fraud, cyber risk, regulatory risk, and business continuity. Familiar with Triline Risk Management System, possessing excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to proactively engage others in the implementation of the risk management framework. Able to influence at all levels of the business with proven ability to think critically in order to analyse problems and develop effective and practical solutions.
