One - to - one SEN Teaching Assistant - Smethwick Smile Education are very keen to meet Teaching Assistants, with previous experience of working with special educational needs, for a rewarding one-to-one position in a Smethwick primary school. We are working with a primary school in the Smethwick/Bearwood area that have a pupil who will be going in to a Year 5 class from September. The pupil who requires one-to-one help throughout the school day has a range of needs that means they find real benefit, socially and academically, from the dedicated support of a one-to-one Teaching Assistants. SEN Teaching Assistant ‘Good’ graded primary school in South Birmingham Dedicated special educational needs department Inspiring SENCo Full time, long term position - starting September 2021 Suit a Psychology graduate looking to train as a future Educational Psychologist This Ofsted graded ‘Good’ primary school is located in Bearwood/Smethwick and is served by excellent public transport links. The school benefits from excellent facilities, fantastic resources and well established senior leadership team. The school provide regular training sessions for all staff including their very valued Teaching Assistants. Working with the school’s SENCo the recruited Teaching Assistant will be supporting a pupil in Year 5 throughout the school day. The pupil’s needs will be discussed in full when the school meets candidates but previous experience of Autism will be of real benefit. This position would ideally suit a Psychology graduate who wishes to pursue a future career as an Educational Psychologist but applications are also welcome from qualified Level 3 TAs. The school are looking for candidates that are patient, understanding and can explain concepts and ideas in a range of ways to suit the individual pupil. The ability to build rapport and a strong working relationship with the pupil is essential for their and your success.
