Job Introduction

The Focus of the Role:

Partner with Bauer leaders to ensure our Belonging at Bauer commitments are embedded in all we do. Create a governance framework that ensures the leaders in the business are held to account on their commitments and goals, agreed actions and measures and using quality data and insights make recommendations of how these need to evolve

Working with HR and the D&I Forum to continue to cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment that affirms Bauer in the UK as a destination employer for diverse talent and a great place to do great work for all.

Role Responsibility

Drive shared accountability for Diversity and Inclusion across Bauer in the UK;

  • Plan, develop and deliver initiatives, programmes and projects that support the goal of weaving D&I into the DNA of the business
  • Challenge and recommend appropriate changes to business practices and processes, that impact D&I, based on data and best practice insights
  • Help develop our employer brand and ensure to diversity of our pipeline of candidates for roles at all levels and in all departments,
  • assess and build increased accountability for D&I activity into the Bauer life-cyle performance review and reward systems.
  • to ensure all leaders have D&I objectives in place, that they are measured against.
  • Partner with internal communications to ensure business wide awareness of annual D&I priorities, progress being made, and work in progress and showcase our progress and successes by entering appropriate awards.
  • Provide guidance to the Comms team around their management of the cultural calendar and related events

Strengthening the D&I forum and pillar communities;

  • Co-ordinate quarterly Belonging at Bauer forums.
  • Coach pillar leads and sponsors on how to balance the needs of the pillar communities within the reality of the organisational context
  • Attend pillar community sessions on an ad-hoc basis to gain firsthand insights

Provide D&I data insights that help to drive change across the business;

  • Use D&I data insights to identify areas of focus and monitor progress.
  • Input into Ofcom, PPA, IAB and pay gap reporting plans/ processes, and provide insights that will help to shape related communications
  • Review D&I reports provided by the HR Data Analytics team and provide insights to HR leadership ahead of their Exec meetings
  • Review internal and external data to confirm guardrails in place and use insights to support strategic and operational thinking

Inclusive employer brands strengthened by external partnerships;

  • Project manage accreditation programmes, external recognition submissions and award entries, in partnership with the Communication team
  • Reach out and build networks with external fellow practitioners, to provide the organisation with best-practice initiatives across the Digital Media sector, identifying opportunities to apply relevant practices to Bauer in an authentic way
  • Contribute to / attend relevant external events to help promote Bauer as an inclusive place to work

The Ideal Candidate

  • Work experience as an OD Manager, HR Manager, HR Consultant or similar role in a matrixed environment
  • Leadership influencing skills and ability to influence and set expectations across different stakeholder groups
  • Strong knowledge of organizational D&I challenges and opportunities within wider sustainability context?
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • CIPD qualified in OD, Human Resource Management or equivalent
