Band 6 Occupational Therapist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapistto join our Therapies Department here at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 6BW. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist looking to work in a prestigious private hospital.

Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with state-of-the-art facilities located around Harley Street. We have approx. 1300 employees across 8 sites, where wecover a broad range of specialisms, including complex medical and surgical procedures and a comprehensive range of cancer and outpatient services.

Job Profile:

The successful candidates will be pro-active, flexible and diplomatic and form close working links with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. We treat a varied caseload of patients including those from overseas covering a wide range of specialist areas.

  • Job Type:

This is a full-time, 6month fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Salary:

The salary is competitive for this role and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide a high quality Occupational Therapy service to a range of acute inpatient services including oncology, orthopaedics, neurosciences, general surgery and intensive care.
  • To manage own caseload efficiently, including methods of prioritisation in order to achieve timely and safe discharges of patients from hospital, to help prevent admissions/readmissions and enable patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Assist the Lead Occupational Therapist in daily planning, coordinating delivering and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service
  • To deputise for team lead on clinical and managerial issues as requested.

Skills &Experience

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • A minimum of three years post graduate experience.
    • You will have experience in at least one of the following areas: intensive care, surgical and medical, orthopaedics, neurosciences and oncology.
