Main duties of the job

This is a development post and if required support can be offered to allow the post holder to develop the required competencies.

The post holder will have relevant experience and knowledge of mental health Occupational Therapy for adults with serious mental illness, be able to effectively use tailored 1:1 and group interventions and establish and harness community networks to facilitate the recovery journey.

The post holder will be a team player and be committed to excellence in seeking the most robust models of intervention to enhance occupational participation. They will be responsible for supervision and development of junior staff and be required to take Occupational Therapy students on Practice Education placements.

The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner following professional codes of conduct and ethics carrying a varied specialist caseload in a specialist area of practice, which will include patients with complex needs.

The post holder will contribute to and lead some areas of service development duties within their department, which can include attending meetings, and leading in audit, evidence based practice research and service evaluation.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
