We are looking to recruit two new members to our EYFS team to work in our new nursery, Little Acorns Nursery School. Little Acorns is our nursery in nature, situated on our exceptional primary school site. Our staff are committed first and foremost to nurturing relationships in a safe, warm, caring environment, enabling children aged 2 – 4 develop and thrive. At Little Acorns, the great outdoors is at the heart of our curriculum with most of our day spent outdoors in nature, learning through hands on discovery learning. Whilst we have a wonderful indoor base, the children learn and experience outdoor play, adventures and forest schooling as part of their daily offer, whatever the weather. At Little Acorns, children have the freedom to move and be active whilst experiencing opportunities to grow in confidence by taking risks to achieve.

You will:

  • Be an excellent Early Years Nursery Practitioner level 2 or 3 qualified.
  • Be a lover of the outdoors willing to get muddy and wet
  • Provide the children with a safe, secure and home like environment
  • Have a working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, preferably to include the new framework
  • Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
  • Support Pupils to participate in forest Nursery activities that enhance their learning
  • Undertake administration and Management of Resources
  • Promote the health & safety of staff and pupils at all times, particularly when participating in outdoor/forest activities

Do you have:

  • An appropriate qualification (level 2 or above) and/or recognised by the DFE as full and relevant for the EYFS.
  • The commitment to provide a first class EYFS curriculum,
  • The ability to promote good practice in a professional manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • A caring, kind and approachable manner
  • An understanding of how children develop and learn
  • An understanding of how to support young children in managing their feelings and behaviour
  • Good English, Mathematics and ICT skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
