Role Description:

We are seeking Nurse Prescribers IP on a full-time, permanent basis serving the local domestic market of Wokingham within a 10-mile radius.

You will be required to drive from visit to visit, utilising one of our own vehicles, providing services similar to a GP practice within the customers’ home.

This opportunity offers a refreshing change, with only 32 hours per week while providing higher salaries compared to the NHS.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer treatments and medications as per protocols and training.
  • Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documenting patient information, assessments, and treatment details.
  • Medical Equipment and Supplies: Ensure proper maintenance and organisation of medical equipment and supplies, conducting regular checks and stock replenishment.
  • Adherence to Protocols and Regulations: Follow established medical protocols, safety guidelines, and legal requirements while providing patient care.
  • Patient Education: Provide appropriate education and guidance to patients and their families regarding medical conditions, preventive measures, and post-care instructions.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training, conferences, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be registered with NMC and possess completed NMC Independent Nurse Prescribing Course (v200 or v300), with registration as an IP.
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency medical procedures, trauma care, and medical equipment usage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using technology and electronic medical record systems.
  • It is essential to hold a valid driving license for use in UK, with a maximum of three penalty points.
