Main duties of the job

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will act as a consultative specialist resource for specialist weight management, and will lead specialist clinical nursing in the Specialist Weight Management Service, providing peer supervision and support to other members of the multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for facilitating the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice for pathway priorities in relation to the Level 3 Service across the Health Board as a whole.

You will lead and take responsibility for the nursing component of the Saxenda pathway within the weight management service and any future anti-obesity medication. The post holder will be required to undertake Independent Prescribing for medical conditions within their area of competence, and within the scope of this post.

You will work under the direction and supervision of the Service Lead, and as an integral member of, and in partnership with wider BCU weight management services and multi-agency primary care teams.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and friendly multidisciplinary team, who are assisted by administrative and assistant support.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
