As part of the Rangeford Villages group, Wadswick Green Retirement Village, is a beautiful, vibrant, developing retirement village near Corsham, with a restaurant, gym, pool and spa.

We have an exciting opportunity and are recruiting for a night concierge to join the team. During his/her shift, the Night Concierge will be the first responder to any emergency (maintenance, health or security). They will also be the point of contact onsite with our warden system offsite call centre: Tunstall Response.

There is no exact pattern to the shift, making for an interesting job, although there are specific tasks to be undertaken, such as cleaning of certain communal areas and rubbish collection from the apartment blocks.

The Night Concierge team operate between 1800 and 0700.

You will receive full H&S and Fire Evacuation training. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Covering the reception desk and handling resident enquiries and requests

First responder to any emergency (maintenance, health or security)

Point of contact onsite with our warden system offsite call centre: Tunstall Response

Transporting residents around the site

Escorting contractors or emergency services in event of incident

Receiving deliveries

Monthly emergency light testing

Delivering mail and internal documents to apartments

Daily recycling bin collection

Housekeeping duties: communal area cleaning (dusting, vacuum cleaning and mopping)

To complete low level administrative tasks as required within given deadlines e.g. Emails/ bookings

To be responsible for security of the site and general operations duties

Receive, act upon and provide a detailed handover to day concierge

Respond to/ Report any incidents, accidents or near misses to Village Management

Adhere to and maintain all H&S procedures appropriate to the role

Any other reasonable requests required by management.

Required skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Problem Solving
  • Customer Service experience
  • First Aid - Advantageous not essential
  • IT literate - emails etc
  • Must have a good standard of spoken and written English

Physical Job Requirements

This is a physically demanding role and as such applicants must be physically fit and able to be on their feet for the majority of the shift and be able to handle, carry and move heavy items.

Working Hours

Average of 46 hours per week 4 days in, 4 days off with 13 hour shifts. Night Concierge team operate between 1800 and 0700.

Conditions of Employment

  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Clear DBS check (Paid for by us)
  • Full clean driving licence, for insurance reasons applicants must be aged 25 or above
