Salary and Benefits: £21,328 to £26,659 per annum dependent on experience + attractive pension + 25 days annual leave + training & development opportunities in line with the Technical Coordinator progression plan

Based in Bradford, although homeworking at present until September 2021. On occasions, you may be expected to travel across the region, therefore you will need a full valid UK driving licence.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Co-ordinator, you will have an opportunity to play a key part in enabling house building across the region, bringing economic growth and allows you to play your part in making Yorkshire a brilliant place to be.

The Developer Services team works with commercial developers and customers to ensure any new developments have the correct water and wastewater plans in place.

What will the role involve?

You will provide a high level of technical advice and guidance to support the delivery of new mains water connections whilst maintaining the integrity of Yorkshire Water assets and ensuring we are fully compliant with appropriate guidelines, customer commitments and regulations.

This should all be done whilst putting our customers at the heart of everything we do, to ensure we give a seamless, informed, and consistent customer experience whilst driving improvement in our performance and ensuring we provide exceptional value for money.

You will assist, manage and co-ordinate responses to customer applications for mains designs and estimates and support through tender, investigation, design, construction, and completion stages. You will produce accurate estimates or written replies to our customers for all work requests and respond to written and telephone enquiries from internal and external customers.

You will manage your own workload effectively, ensuring that all commitments are met through effective time management. You will ensure that new supplies inspectors are provided with the correct information in advance to customer visits. You will also highlight any issues that would delay a customer commitment and liaise with inspectors and other areas of the business where cases are expected to fail. You will liaise with other relevant parts of the business to ensure that the application process runs smoothly for both the customer and for the business.

What key skills are required?

The successful candidate will have a focus on good customer service and creating long lasting relationships with clients and contract partners. You will demonstrate rigorous attention to detail to ensure ’right first-time performance’ and be able to manage your own workload within timescales. You will have excellent project management skills and strong customer liaison and management skills.

Having a basic understanding of potable water networks, pipeline renewal and/or replacement techniques is desirable alongside awareness of NRASWA (safety at street works and road works C.O.P) and traffic management is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Previous experience of using AutoCAD is also desirable.

You will also be confident in using a range of IT systems including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Office 365.
