Are you ready to develop a successful career in building and developing attractive and affordable homes in our communities?

About us

We are an award-winning not for profit housing association that currently owns nearly 8,500 homes across County Durham. We offer more than just a home, as we are determined to help improve the lives of our customers and our communities. As well as working hard to make sure our homes are high quality, efficient and adaptable, we also support people to gain employment, qualifications, financial confidence and stability. Looking ahead, Plan A encapsulates our ideas and a path to success, setting out 23 ambitious challenges which aim to deliver a brilliant customer experience through the provision of great homes, sustaining strong communities and building a successful future.

There is no Plan B. Equally, there is no Planet B. We have one world and it is the responsibility of every organisation and every person to act responsibly to protect Planet A from the harm inflicted by wasteful and toxic environmental processes.

About the role

Our award-winning Development team is looking for a New Homes Project Adviser to support and advise on the delivery of high quality energy efficient homes in our communities. Working alongside our development partners you will advise on the delivery of a variety of new build schemes covering the development of new homes for rent and the acquisition of land and property. You will support the delivery of a range of exciting projects from feasibility stage, through the planning process with Consultants, Contractors and Architects up to completion of homes and customer after-sales care. In developing your skills, knowledge and confidence to rise to the challenge we will provided full funding to achieve a degree in Project Management, coaching and mentoring with experienced colleagues and additional training to acquire the technical skills needed for site inspections.

About you

Talented, ambitious with the ability to learn quickly and develop credibility with internal and external stakeholders, you will be committed to developing a successful career in building affordable homes. With strong organisational skills, a relentless focus on the needs of your customers and the aptitude to quickly grasp the national/regional legal context to building on brownfield and greenfield sites, relevant government socio-economic policy and Home England funding requirements, you will thrive in a fast-paced working environment and be able to quickly make your mark as budding talent in our organisation.
