Job Description
What you’ll be doing?
As Networks & Telephony Engineer you will maintain the voice and data network infrastructure and support the internal customers in the configuration and troubleshooting of customer subsystems at those sites in the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintenance of video/audio, voice and data network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, and VoIP
- Perform software upgrades on Cisco devices
- Completes and performs implementations, configurations, upgrades and troubleshooting of Cisco Systems (Video, VoIP and data networks)
- Management of video/audio, data/voice networking relationships and work with vendors to escalate issues when appropriate
- Involved in the Configuration Capturing activity in Mons, in order to acquire sufficient knowledge about the current network and the current set of operating procedures to take up the Engineer duties described in this section
- Use Purchasers network management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics
- Carry out agreed network maintenance tasks
- Support the internal customers, in the configuration and troubleshooting of customer subsystems at those sites in the project
Key Skills & Experience
- Good experience with the installation, configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, servers, workstations, and hubs
- Previous network support experience in:
- Identification and resolving network problems following the procedure
- Network management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics
- Experience with design, implementation and deployment of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) services which include: Voice, Voicemail, VTC, Email, Unified messaging, Directory services, Collaboration tools, etc.
- Ability to apply and customise Cisco Equipment requirements to different network domains
- Proven experience with CISCO based VoIP and data network solutions, Configuration and operation of Cisco systems and Configuration of them.
- Experience in practical integration work under the technical direction of the system/service designer
- Strong knowledge of network access, interfaces, service integration capabilities that comprise a full unified capability
- Strong technical skills in networking and unified communication and collaboration applications
- CCNA (must) /CCNP Certificate (optional)
