Kindeva Drug Delivery is a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that provides emergency and life-saving medicines to commercial and government customers. Kindeva was recently divested from a large corporate parent and is poised for a growth journey. This journey recognizes the need to make strategic investments and expand our IT team.

As a Network Engineer, Team Lead you will help manage the daily operations and support of Kindeva’s network infrastructure team. You will be part of a team providing daily operational support, administration, troubleshooting, configuration, patching, disaster recovery and performance management of enterprise-wide data and voice technologies that includes IP routing, switching, WIFI and security systems.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team leader for the Global Network Infrastructure team, managing day to day task coordination in support of the Kindeva Network Architecture
  • Act as architect and lead support engineer for enterprise networking environments (i.e., Cisco routing, switching, WIFI, Azure Cloud and security technologies)
  • Coordinate installation, build, and verification of core, edge, and access network infrastructure according to best practices.
  • Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Systems Architecture, and IT SMEs to design and optimize infrastructure and reference standards for operations, support, and resiliency.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of voice and data networking documentation (work instructions, IT technical guides, verification reports, architecture diagrams) and procedures (SOPs, build standards, change-management).
  • Maintains technical competency through research and training; remains current in technology advances and industry best practices relative role scope and system operations.
  • Ensures periodic assessments of local site networking infrastructure are executed and planned upgrades are completed.
  • Effectively communicates and coordinates technical response with IT Service Delivery Manager and IT Technical SMEs during major incidents / unplanned outages and planned outages.
  • Maintains infrastructure inventory/assets and related configurations; drive alignment and corrections to standards and tools (eg. Configuration Management).
  • Participates in local change advisory teams and coordinates and communicates changes with key stakeholders. Has deep understanding and appreciation for change management processes and documentation practices.
  • Escalates and works with IT senior management to help resolve complex issues related to networking infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must Haves

  • Proficient in English
  • Due to statutory requirements, must be a US Person as defined by the US Department of State.
  • Minimum Bachelors degree in IT related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Cisco switches/routers - 2900, 3750X stack, 3900, Meraki, etc.
  • 4+ years infrastructure build, design, and support – including ITIL processes.
  • 2+ years in a working supervisory or managerial role guiding day to day activities for a technical team
  • Cisco certifications CCT, CCNA or other relevant network certifications.
Nice to Haves

  • ITIL Certification
  • Dynamic routing protocol configuration - EIGRP/OSPF/BGP.
  • Cisco ASA firewall or Checkpoint firewall experience.
  • Site-to-site VPN tunnel, Palo Alto Global Protect, Cisco AnyConnect SSL VPN.
  • Cisco Wireless - 5500 series controllers and APs.
  • Cisco Firepower IDS/IPS or other IDS/IPS technology.
  • Management of IP addressing scheme.
  • Experience working in small-medium enterprise (1000-2000 employees).
  • SolarWinds Orion administration and configuration.
  • Telecommunications experience.
  • Background in scripting languages, Perl, PowerShell, or other.
  • Certificate management.
  • Proofpoint Email Protection and Enterprise Archive.
  • Palo Alto Private Access and Internet Access (or similar remote access and webgateway solutions)
