As a Network Engineer you’ll carry out activities in a 24 hour environment that drives the quality of network performance for the benefit of all customers. This includes Optimisation, Fault resolution, Emergency restoration of service (24hr/365), Complex fault support for consumer and network expansion colleagues and upgrade of network equipment including addressing and mitigating the risk caused by obsolescence.
It’s your job to ensure adherence to best practice and company policy is followed at all times to realise high standards and apply a consistent way of working, whilst ensuring we deliver exceptional service to our customers.
You’ll ensure that all activity complies with all documented Virgin Media standards and specifications & meets all required Health & Safety guidelines.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Understanding of an HFC & FTTP network
  • Previous experience with TDM networks either SDH or PDH
  • Knowledge of Fibre Principles
  • Understanding or Knowledge of Power/Electrical principles
  • Proven experience working with and in remote teams or field based environments
The other stuff we’re looking for
We’d also love you to bring;
  • Experience in a direct customer environment
  • Basic IT skills (excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in teams and independently
