They supply, install and support traditional and advanced IP telephone systems, WiFi systems and data networking equipment to businesses throughout the UK. They have a vacancy for a Voice and Data Field Engineer whose time will be divided between being office based providing remote customer support and being customer facing out on site installing and supporting the systems they supply. Specific product training will be provided for the right person. Due to the nature of this position, the individual will ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the telecommunications or data industry with the desire to excel in new IP technology. This is an excellent opportunity and offers scope for career progression for the right person. Technical Competence: Experience of working with VoIP telephone systems with some data networking experience. The ability to learn and embrace new technologies, including infrastructure WiFi. Technically competent, ideally the candidate will have associated industry certifications Ability to survey sites and make recommendations to customers would be a key advantage Some experience on the installation of cabling systems would be useful, although this is not a main function of the position. Highly Advantageous Skills: Proven experience of data networking Wireless (WiFi) implementation and support Key Attributes: Ability to problem solve Ability to work unsupervised Reliable and punctual Positive and enthusiastic attitude Excellent customer facing skills A full valid UK driving licence is essential. Hours of work are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Work outside these hours will be required at times to achieve the goals.
