Our Client has a requirement for a Network Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis. This requirement will be UK Based.

Job Description:

Our client requires Network Engineering services to support the FTNx Connectivity – IP Network Consolidation Programme. You will be required to support the updating and upgrading of the FTNx network by producing and reviewing designs and configurations to be deployed on the live network.

Key Deliverables:

• Responsible for consolidating IP/MPLS Network.

• Responsible for program and support of layer 2 topologies.

• Routing Protocol/Algorithm Testing/Design.

• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to consolidate IP Network.

• Complying with network standards.

• Automation of design with scripting languages.

• Carry out testing and compile reports on test bed and pioneer standardized solutions for a team of designers.

• Produce project documentation, participate in design and progress reviews.

• Support testing and trialling of new software and hardware.

Key Skills Required to Deliver the Service

Essential:

• Experience in IP Routing and Switching.

• CCIE or CCNP with extensive experience in route and switch.

• Ability to communicate and report network incidents and issues.

• Ability to pioneer usage of technologies and guide other network engineers.

Desirable:

• A network engineer degree, telecom engineer degree, degree in computer science, or related IT fields or equivalent of education and experience.

• VMware, Hyper-V and Microsoft certifications.

• Experience with Juniper Firewalls or security accreditation.

• Proven experience with scripting language and automation, example TWIG.

BPSS Security Clearance Will Be Required.
