About The RoleNational Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is at the heart of energy in the UK. In NGET we are passionate about both operating our network safely and providing highly reliable quality of supply for our customers.As Network Development Transformation Manager, you will drive forwards a diverse portfolio of engineering, technology and capability transformation activities that evolve the way that we plan and develop our electricity transmission network.You’ll work with key stakeholders across ET to exact high-profile and meaningful change to our engineering assessments, processes, digital tools, data and its methods of collection, analysis, and outputs visualisation.What will you get out of the role?

About YouWith experience of managing diverse teams to deliver valuable outputs, you’ll have a track record of working proactively and autonomously under your own initiative, thinking beyond convention in the conveyance and delivery of new and innovative solutions.Agile, with the ability to embrace and drive change, you’ll have experience of building and sustaining stakeholder relationships and be able to present detailed technical information in a way understandable to non-technical audiences.Demonstrable experience of managing highly complex / multi- dimensional projects and programmes is key as is the ability to set and control clear scopes of technical work that lead to clearly defined strategic & business outcomes.With a sound understanding of the NG business, its processes, network design and (loan and non-load) investment plans, you will have the ability to understand detailed technical subjects and infer their impacts on transformation plans, delivery, risks and mitigations. You will also have an understanding of the transmission network and its future network developments, power system analysis and modelling.You’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent in a STEM subject and have membership of a relevant professional body e.g. IET. A full driving license is also required.What You’ll GetA base salary between £53,000 and £65,000, and an annual performance bonus of up to 15%.We have a reputation for promoting a healthy work/life balance.
