What will the apprentice be doing?

The Install Engineer/Apprentice would be responible for

  • ensuring van is equipped with all materials, tools and Fuel for the day, undertaking vehicle checks

-Reviewing list of installs/reported issues - 8 am to first appointment where you may be installing the fibre connection to a customers property to get their Internet package live or investigating a reported issue with equipment/service-Install Engineers work inside and outside , climbing up ladders, the job is physical but rewarding


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

80% on-the-job training to support the job role.
20% off-the-job training provided by the employer and the training provider to support the role and develop the apprentice’s personal and professional skills.
Online learning modules and workshops to support the apprentice to develop the underpinning knowledge required for the job role and achieve the Level 3 Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be excellent career pathways with contracts on offer , Level 3 Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship enables you to register as a full time member of the Institute of Telecommunication Professionals
