New Era Technology is a global IT integrator with 2,500+ employees delivering Collaboration, Cloud, Data Networking, Security, Large Venue, and Corporate AV and Managed Service Solutions to more than 9,000 customers.

We currently have a need for an Engineer and Technical Referent in our Global Enterprise Division. This position will incorporate Data Network Support Security activities for an enterprise client. The main goal of this position is to guarantee the maintenance in operational condition and in safe condition of the customer’s infrastructure.

Job Description:

Network & security equipment administration

• Equipment Installation/configuration
• Proactive management of infrastructures and updating of products & versions
• (hardware, software)
• Contribution to the drafting of technical documents and operating procedures.
• Administration of network and security equipment (proactive analysis of logs, implementation of advanced monitoring for better proactive management of equipment, etc.)
• Responsibility for architecture diagrams and databases- Ensure the consistency of the inventory of network and security equipment.

Incident resolution

• Resolution of complex incidents and L2/L3 problems on network/security infrastructures and associated services
• Implementation of troubleshooting plans
• Escalation with editors/builders
• Support for the L1/L2 network & security operations team.
• Support for internal teams.

Change Management

• Preparation of changes (definition of the implementation plan, definition or update of operational procedures, transfer of skills to the rest of the team.

Other job specifications

• The candidate will undergo vetting to gain security clearance.
• Proven ability to work shift patterns and on-call in a rota system.
• Proven mobility skills in technologies like Cisco, Meraki and Aruba
• Take part in pan-European technical expertise, forums, collaborations and escalations.

• VPN, routing, firewall
