The Pensions Regulator (TPR) is responsible for protecting workplace pensions in the UK. We work with employers and those running pensions to help people save safely for their retirement.

This is a very hands-on technical role and we are looking for a person with a strong track record in building enterprise web based solutions, preferably with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies. The role will be 100% remote initially with eventual hybrid home/office working.

Responsibilities

As a full stack lead developer, you will be working with .NET Core, C#, MS Azure and D365 as well as developing web based portals. You will:

  • Successfully deliver technical solutions to support the business. Work across all stages and iterations of software development.
  • Assist other developers to plan, estimate, design, implement and test software applications.
  • Use good problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Embrace the organization’s use of Agile methodologies.
  • Maintain a keen technical awareness; continuously learning and developing own skills. Identify, research and recommend tooling for development. Contribute to the developer community by sharing experience and knowledge and updating documentation.
  • Recruit, lead, coach and mentor others in the team

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential

  • Excellent knowledge of C# and .Net framework including .NET Core
  • Extensive experience of development with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience of Web technologies (ASP.NET MVC, Javascript)
  • Experience of building restful APIs

Desirable

  • Experience of Dynamics 365, in particular:
  • canvas apps
  • power apps
  • error states
  • performance limitations and scaling strategies
    • Experience of WCF services
    • Experience of Serialised XML Knowledge
    • Experience of.NET Asynchronous and Synchronous tasks processing
    • Working knowledge of WCF Services
