Due to recent growth, a well-established independent Estate Agent situated in a prime location within Melton Mowbray is looking for a Negotiator to join its team and assist in servicing existing properties and attracting new clients.

The successful candidate will be joining a thriving, family business which covers the whole of Leicestershire. The Estate Agent is well known for providing excellent customer service and with a wealth of industry experience, a great reputation for quality advice to ensure a positive experience to all clients.

As Negotiator your duties will include:

· Assisting both the Sales and Lettings teams in the day to day running of the departments.

· Dealing with clients to provide excellent customer service and handling any queries that arise.

· Booking & carrying out viewings on advertised properties.

· Attracting new properties and new landlords to help build the property portfolio.

· Managing all property maintenance issues including liaising with landlords and tenants and negotiating with contractors for works to be carried out.

· Arranging inventories, gas safety certificates, EPCs and all other legal documentation to ensure that all managed properties comply with current legislation.

· Servicing lettings including arranging and carrying out property inspections, managing tenancy renewals and deposit negotiations.

To be a successful, you must have the following skills and experience:

· Proven background in customer service.

· Self-motivated with a ’can do’ attitude.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

· Extremely well organised and able to prioritise your own workload.

· Professional, positive, diligent and diplomatic.

· Good people skills, approachable, willing to listen, fair.

· Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

· Previous experience with the property sector, not essential.

  • A working knowledge of agency software such as Jupix would be an advantage.

In return you will receive a basic salary plus you will be eligible to take part in a commission scheme, receive 28 days holiday per year, pension scheme and use of company pool car.
