NDT Technician Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (Dependant on experience) Location: Hinckley Metalis are currently working with a leading manufacturing company based in Hinckley who are seeking a skilled & experienced NDT Technician. Job Duties: Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using radiographic techniques on aerospace components. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine the appropriate testing parameters. Prepare and position parts for radiographic inspection, ensuring accurate alignment and exposure. Operate radiographic equipment, ensuring proper radiation safety protocols and regulations are followed. Develop and process radiographic films or utilize digital imaging systems to obtain clear and accurate images. Inspect and interpret radiographic images to detect and evaluate any flaws, defects, or anomalies. Collaborate with team members and engineers to analyse and determine the significance of detected indications. Generate comprehensive NDT reports documenting inspection results, findings, and any necessary follow-up actions. Job Requirements: Previous experience as an NDT Technician with expertise in radiographic testing, preferably within the aerospace industry. Relevant certifications in radiographic testing, such as ASNT Level II or equivalent. Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, exposure settings, film processing, and image interpretation. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and requirements. Understanding of safety procedures and adherence to radiation safety regulations. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and interpret radiographic images.
