We are currently recruiting for an LCL Development Manager to join our Sea Logistics team in the UK!
Your Role

The LCL Development Manage will be responsible for developing and promoting the growth of the LCL Sea logistics business from all trade lanes through a focussed approach, collaborating with and supporting sales /CCL colleagues. This role will require collaboration at all levels of the Sales organisation to act upon key opportunities within respective routes. The LCL Development Manager will be expected to be the subject matter expert of all aspects of the UK LCL encompassing all elements of market knowledge and expertise including the promotion of the relevant IT tools. The role will involve promoting and developing LCL within the UK in collaboration with KN overseas network in a structured and consistent manner. The role will be targeted on overall development of the UK product terms in Volume (CBM).
Your Responsibilities
  • Development and ownership of strategy and execution to achieve agreed growth targets for designated route(s). Branch visibility is a key aspect of this role.
  • Attend joint client visits and support via provision of market expertise and knowledge, inclusive of a targeted number of client visits per month and targeted pipeline.
  • Follow up and development of sales leads for major new business opportunities in close coordination and cooperation with Sales organisation.
  • Gathering and distribution of relevant Market Intelligence to key stakeholders within Sea Logistics and Sales organisations.
  • National travel to support local FS-C managers/teams with regular review/targeting.
  • Support sales on major key client opportunities.
  • Developing the internal network and providing the business with key updates with the relevant trade.
  • Regular review and engagement with Centralised Pricing Team to help increase conversion of quotes and develop market knowledge.
  • Responsibility for creation of/updating the relevant MyKN pages for respective trade lane.

Your Skills And Experiences
  • Previous Experience in a Sea Logistics Environment
  • Knowledge of LCL product is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Commercial Awareness.
  • The ability and desire to work with ambiguity and varied priorities; strong prioritisation skills are a must.
  • Business and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to be creative, challenge the norms and try new ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
