This post is based across Kirklees College Centre’s in both Huddersfield and Dewsbury with potential to work at other Kirklees College sites.

Hours: 22.5 hrs per week , 42 weeks per year (TTO)

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate and innovative individual to join a team of highly skilled and motivated creative professionals in an expanding provision. The successful candidate will undertake the role of Multi- Skilled Technician Demonstrator and provide high quality support across the Creative Industries Department.

The purpose of this post is to support the effective delivery and development of the Art, Design and Media while also supporting the team and activities in performing arts and music provision when require. In line with the College’s strategic objective and competencies, you will ensure a high quality and relevant learning experience for all students on their study programmes. Courses are delivered at Huddersfield Waterfront centre, Pioneer House and Springfield Centre and travel to other College sites will be required.

Responsible for the preparation of learning resources and administrative duties within the Creative Industries with both and 16-19 year old learners and adult learners as part of a large, dynamic and successful team within a well-established Further Education college.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a degree in a creative discipline or substantial industry knowledge. Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and knowledge of the education sector would be an advantage. The College is willing to support applicants with relevant technical skills combined with excellent interpersonal skills who wish to become teachers, raising the aspirations and ambitions of our learners.
